Locally, Lions Club members support a variety of youth programs such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Little League Baseball, Youth Basketball, Youth Wrestling, Youth Soccer and 4-H programs (through the purchase of animals at the auction, and through support of the 4-H Sacramento and Washington Leadership programs).

The proceeds from our events provide over $15,000 per year in scholarships to deserving Amador area students, and also support Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The Annual St. Patrick's Day Dandelion Days Celebration is a family-oriented event, and it's lots of fun! It includes an outdoor bazaar and street fair featuring antiques, relics and collectibles, arts and crafts, and much more. There is also lots of fun, food, kids' carnival rides and even a 5K run. A pancake, ham and egg breakfast, located at the Jackson Civic Center, kicks off both days activities at 7:00am (or there about). But Dandelion Days is also known for its rich local community flavor, one thing that makes it so popular. In fact, a great many attendees come from outside the county to join the fun! Not least of all, Dandelion days is the Jackson Lions Club's largest fund-raising effort and benefits student scholarships and community events.
